Wondering if anyone can recommend a decent scrap yard in the Tayside region. I'm looking for a Clio 51 (1.2) alternator, but had no luck so far

wee bit further afield but try Overton Garage Aberdeen. They seem to have everything.

They also charge around 2/3rds of the cost of a new one, you may be better getting a new one from euro car parts or similar?

Err not quite...got offered one from Birmingham for £35 all in, where as they are £150 new!!!

There used to be one Dunfermline/Inverkeithing way. Got a wiper motor for a clio from them, was a few years ago though, so may not be there anymore.

Reconditioned would be about £75 as a guess .. think you have an Autosave down there or Dingbro if you have "neck" who are basically trade Autosave. Yellow pages and look for Bosch logo. It would take 2-3 days but at least guaranteed, and about same price as used + postage/fuel.
