Not sure if this is new, but I've only just noticed them? Also saw one go off today on the Anti-Clockwise carriageway, so they appear to be working too.

They are the only ones on the M25 that I've seen flashing, quite often too! frown

No no, thats J10 > J9.. These are the other direction.

I've not seen cameras on the M25 before, but they're pretty noticeable. I was expecting them to be hidden by the signs etc.. Nope, big grey box sat above each lane.

That's why if you do a search there's exactly zero first hand accounts of anyone getting a ticket.

I've been travelling in a vehicle that's been flashed a number of times at J10ish and also that other a/c one that's gone mental near m40 but the driver never heard anything about it.

Obviously they're not there for show long term but I think when they start working we'll know about it. Unless they couple it with a speed limit more in tune with the 21st century everyone will be banned within a week or the entire road will come to a standstill by making everyone stay on 20% more time than necessary.

Just because no ones posted on here about it doesn't mean people haven't received tickets.
I know two people who have received tickets because of these cameras. Doesn't mean they are on all the time, I'm just letting you know that they do work, what yii choose to do with that information is up to you smile

Just to add something else. I've not seen any posts about the M3 cameras either, but I stopped someone a while ago who had 9 points on his licence.
Whilst waiting for some checks we chatted about his points, 6 of them came from the M3 average speed cameras.
He mentioned he'd travelled that route for years and would always go through that section between 65 and 70. He then got 2 NIPS within 6 months out of the blue.

He's the 2nd person I've spoken to who's received stuff through from those ones

I have no idea about the m3 ones but I've occasionally asked here and elsewhere about M25 and nothing first hand. With respect if you're a policeman you can't exactly agree that they're not functioning.

Surely you've seen the speed everyone does through there, if they were on your invoicing team would have to sub the work out to ticketmaster lol. Although on the plus side and annual policemen's ball could be on Richard Branson's private island.

They aren't on all the time, but its pure guess work as to when they are on and I'm not risking it!

If the cameras weren't working I would say so, its no skin off my nose as they aren't run by us.

I'll make that a real beer if we meet on a run somewhere!
