You might be surprised what burnt wrecks are worth. I saw a totally fried JCB digger at a sale in Perthshire at a well known auction yard and it sold for £12,000. I asked a dealer 'How can it be worth that?' He said it will go to Europe where somebody with a digger will claim it is theirs that has been burnt. They will sell their good digger and claim a new one from their insurance company and be quids in! You cant trust anybody these days!
