Any recomendations? Halfords suggests Bosch S5 but this only has 77ah vs the 80ah on the original Moll battery (which has been in since new - 6 yrs...), will this be suitable? Also, will the fault codes clear (PASM failure, not showing fuel level etc) with a little driving or do you need to go to OPC/specialist and have them reset these?

I bought this one from Halfords after a recommendation on 911uk. It's 85ah sp should be better than the original. This is battery no. 3 in 6 years! Just turn the key to position 1 to stop the alarm and change the battery. The fault codes will come up when you turn it on but drive about 100 yards and they will reset. If you have a warranty you have to use the inferior Porsche branded battery

A few months ago I think I bought a Bosche S4 from EuroCarParts. I managed to find use a discount code at the time and had it for a small fraction of the original (shayte) Moll. What is more you'll find the crank rate of the Bosch batteries is far better and although a new battery, you'll find it'll turn over in an instant.

To add to the insult, some OPC's will want to stiff you for charging and fitting. Mmmm.

Warranty situation needs to be considered, but if you're not obligated, it's a no-brainer!
