I have been a bad boy. I know that I shouldn't have been. I am genuinely repentant. But this is getting framed and going on the garage wall.

My fault completely, didn't notice motorway change 70 to 50 when it went to 2 lanes.

Ben, have you owned up to this yet???

There are a number of anomalies in the photo - the limit / verification markings may not be legal.

There is a system of street lights so therefore there should be 50 repeaters on the lamp columns at set intervals, I can't see any in the photo.

Apart from lane lines there should not be any other road markings within the limits of the verification markings - from the photo there appears to be a number 91 or similar.

If I was you I would be doing some further investigation and challenging the conviction smile

And its uphill too. No way that should have been able to do 66mph.

It's obviously a busy & dangerous stretch of dual-carriageway. That camera has really justified it's safety device status with that photo.

Bright side is the proof that your car can do 66mph uphill has probably added more that £60 to it's value smile

Interesting. If it isn't hours and hours of time spent appealing then I might do it. Cheers.

While that may be true if you plan on contesting it best off erring on the side of caution smile

Heh, I always have the tom tom on so I knew I was really doing 66, not that I should have been of course.

Probably won't contest it as the hours spent doing so would be much more profitable actually working.

Expecting £60 fine and 3 pts when I return the paperwork.

Also yes, there are 2 photos, the other further away.

I agree. From the photo there is no other traffic in the vicinity, road surface dry and in good condition, perfect visibility - hardly the crime of the century.

We've all been there, done that and in the past got away with it, good that Ben is happy to "put his hands up". smile

Ive always wondered about these images.

What does it proove? It is a picture with a number in the corner?

Surely 2 images showing distance travelled in xx ammount of secs can be seen as proof but a still image?

Good pic either wa OP.
