Wheel builder in Central London?
Discussion
I popped a spoke the other day. I work in holborn so wanted somewhere local. called up cycle surgery as they are a 5 min walk away, asked the bloke what their turn around time was (1 day) and how much it would be, and he said it would be about 40 quid. Thinking he was a new boy who had just misread the price I asked him if he was quite sure, and he said "well it might be a bit more than that, I'd need to look at it.
So, f
k that.
Took it to the cycle workshop which is on the clerkenwell road instead. two young blokes, good stock, know what they are doing, 16 quid including the spoke.

Condor definitely if you are City based.....they have a fantastic reputation as wheel builders. They fixed a spoke for £10 for me but that was one of their wheels....they can be VERY busy though.
I have booked in with them but it's a 9 day wait!Have you thought about replacing it yourself? Its quite interesting learning how a standard spoked wheel is built. Once you get your head around it and discovered how the subtle tightening and loosening of spokes affects the trueness of the rim . . . it wont seem as difficult.
A half-decent wheel stand and a spoke key is all you need. Suffice to say have a play on an old wheel first.
