TVR day in the Cotswolds

A chilly start to the day but did the 90 miles to the village of Kemble roof down and pleased to say after all the poor running issues I had a few weeks ago my new coil seems to have sorted things.

A decent turn out of TVR's at Neil Garners workshop, sore two other S's. both V8's

Stood next to a Griff 500 whilst on the rolling road!! What a fantastic sound.

Swimmer - Sorry mate. Should have said hello, but only went up there really to see D & C Trim for an estimate of the work needing doing. Having said that, I had a go at the sound-off and scored 119.5 db which wasn't bad at all - louder than the yellow cerbie! You must've been the red one parked behind me. Nice V8 on display must say.

Hi Deeman,
I was about to say high but you fired up and left.
I was just glad the old girl made the 180 mile round trip without any issues.
Just a few of plenty of photos I took, not all S related.
Well done with the sound off, I was tempted as my S2 has the V8 Stainless system fitted with rear baffles removed!

We should have done a convoy, would have been more fun - I just noted your from Surrey too! I was also glad I did the 180 ish miles without a hitch. Had a little fun on the throttle with the purple Chimeara 450 on the way up, until he peeled off to help a caterham 7 on the hard shoulder. Next job for me is following in the footsteps of Tinks and completely doing the interior with D & C. My other half is now involved with that project having seen their Griff show car, and wants me to have the seats done with coloured piping!! (She also liked the TVR picnic hamper on the back shelf!!)

Thank you ! That was my Griff on show, the car had only come back from Blackpool a week earlier after its 3 week interior make over. Sure thing - D&C did do a top job - simply pays for what you get. Glad you liked it complete with TVR labelled picnic hamper in the back (just a bit of fun!!!). Trust you enjoyed the show I helped to organise on behalf of Neil.

Thanks. It was a nice day out and something I didn't think I would get to do having just gone through a divorce.
My Girlfriend had no idea about cars when we met and is now starting to understand my passion for cars and motorcycles.

One thing she said that did make me smile was when we arrived the Griff 500 was on the rolling road and my Girlfriend said " why are only the rear wheels going round as all mine go round" it was one of those moments that made me laugh, smile etc. iI then explained the difference between rear wheel drive, front wheel drive and four wheel drive!!

The only slight issue I had with my S was when I took the hand brake off and went to pull away the offside rear brake was binding so reversing back and forth released it so need to remove the drums and check whats going on.
