I need to buy someone chocolate as a gift to be sent to their home address. I don't rate Thorntons and I haven't been overly impressed with Hotel Chocolat so does anyone have any suggestions please?

Budget is £50 delivered.

I'll second that. (Or third?) Wife thinks they're the best chocolates she's had. They do a mail order service as well

non pretentious chocolate here:-

http://www.lessiters.co.uk/

it tastes good, and they also manufacture for some of the very high end dept. stores (so I've been told... they are only a three minute walk from my house hehe )

Unfortunately I don't think these people do mail order.

I can say though, that they are the best chocolates I have had, by a country mile.

If anyone is passing through, its an essential to try.

I'm a fan of http://www.artisanduchocolat.com - I first came across their stuff at the end of a meal in a lovely restaurant but since then I've ordered all sorts of stuff as well as picking it up in their concessions / shops.
