Engine noise question 997 C2S Tip

...Awaits the influx of timebomb/engine is about to self destruct posts...
In all seriousness, it depends on the type of ticking. Baz of Hartech did a really informative post on here a while back about ticking/tapping/knocking/clattery noises. Can't find it ATM, but try searching for it. Best bet is to just get it checked out. Most indies and OPCs would probably send a technician out to listen to it free of charge.
Might also be worth looking in YouTube for IMS videos to compare the noise against those.
If it is a light ticking, chances are it's perfectly normal. I have found that Porsches tend to have noisy injectors and depending where you stick your head to listen to it, the noise they make can be quite noticeable. I am no expert though, hence the suggestion to get a technician to have a listen.
