996 GT3 Fluids

Hi all,

I have had a search on here and can't really find a conclusive answer.

What oil and coolant are you using for a mk1 GT3. I assume it's a Mobil 1 oil, but what grade ? Is halfords finest coolant
Ok or is there a better alternative ?

with regards to coolant, I believe Porsche have their own product - apologies if I'm incorrect with this guidance, I'm sure someone will correct me

Oil; Shell Helix Ultra 5/40 full synthetic
Coolant; The good stuff that is used throughout the VAG group & Porsche

Mobil 1 - 0w 40 through to 15w 50 race formula is the oil I'd go for - Porsche's oil listing goes from A to Z though and bear in mind some oil is better than no oil!!

Coolant is Lifetime fill - there are a few brands that claim to be miscible with the OE fluid but stick with the genuine stuff.....
