Has anyone fitted After Market Recaro Buckets to their Cayman, along with Harnesses. If so, any pics, and would this affect OPC Warranty as the car has been modified from standard?
I like the seats in the R, but at Porsche prices, i'd be giving them a miss. But some of the Recaro brands can be picked up pretty reasonably priced!!

New car Porsche warranty = no
Porsche Approved Warranty = yes, you'd invalidate it.

Do you mean the Sport Bucket Seats (option code: P03), i.e. these?

Yes, they are pretty pricey. frown Having these would be the only way to maintain the Approved Warranty though.

You can pick them up cheaper from some sources (Suncoast in the US springs to mind, suspect shipping would be expensive though) but they're still going to cost several thousand quid.

Cheers Durzel, they are the very ones mate.

Looked on the Porsche options list and they are about 2.5k a side.lol. Don't like them that much.lol

But i did fancy doing similar with some harnesses, as some of the recaro options are fairly priced, but with Warranty being an issue, it would be a no go sadly!!

Oh well.

Maybe try to find some second hand 996 GT3 seats? I have seen them on eBay for 1500 each and in fairly good condition. You can always recondition for that new look.

I have a pair available, in leather, as new. They won't cost you £5K+ VAT either.
