sat nav problem

was driving home from london today and the map got "stuck" location wise even though the car was now outside the map... the black screen with the arrows works fine but when i switch back to the map, it goes back to the stuck location... even after turning the car now and off and entering a different location, it would swap back to the initial stuck location.

any ideas before i bring it back to OPC?

I had this. It can't remember exactLy how I fixed it, though it was easy!

It involves getting into a menu that allows you to 'restore factory settings' I think.

Sorry to be so vague but it was about 4 yrs ago.

Had same problem a few days ago you just need to as above restore factory settings in the navi menu then it will clear the problem.

I did that by accident once, if you press and hold the right knob a menu pops up where you can select what the map shows. I think the options are 'overall route', 'current location' etc.

I accidentally selected a setting which left the map at a fixed location. It took a while to figure out including pulling the fuse out, resetting the unit and removing the navigation DVD. Eventually I found the menu setting and all was fixed!

thanks all - will give it a shot later.. sounds like an easy fix... why can't PCM2 be as easy to use as my tom tom!!!
