Made the disgustingly hard climb up bluebell on Thursday, weather was great and so was the company. If it wasn't for 'Ginis' flight the day would have been a bit of a washout apart from a very nice 15 Squadron Tornado GR4.

Anyway hope you like the shots!

Great pictures and worth the climb, honest!

Picture 5, are my eyes deceiving me or is the rear seater waggling gloveless hands?

Things you notice huh?

Nice one of the C130 too

Looks a bit overdone on the fourth picture, and those tail surfaces would never be that clean in real life smile

Sorry, it was a joke-ette.

I'm a keen modeller, and there is always debate about how realistic certain weathering techniques are, mostly along the lines of that weathering on models is often vastly overdone. If a model was weathered and presented exactly like the F-15 in the fourth picture, most of the armchair modellers would have a fit at:

a) The amount of the dirt on a 'modern' aircraft

and

b) The fact that the tail surfaces look very clean.

ETA It therefore wasn't a 'negative' [ha ha] comment on your photographs - which as I've said in the past, are superb.

Serious question (from someone who likes a bit of photography, but usually landscapes):

How the fook do you take pics like that of targets moving at that speed that are that sharp?

No problem I just wasn't sure what you were getting at :-)

I suppose it all comes down to good panning technique!
