I'm down to 13.4mpg hooning about today. Seems terribly excessive no????
It's never been good but my mate gets 23 average from a gen 2. Sound odd??? Can I get it sorted??
That's about right for proper road-based hooning. What do you get on a cruise? In a gen 2, I average 20 in total, which in terms of miles is 60/40 cruise/hoon.It's never been good but my mate gets 23 average from a gen 2. Sound odd??? Can I get it sorted??

I don't do any crushing really!!! I've got a road trip coming up so I'll see then.
It's warranty covered so I may get them to see what they can do. It's soooooooo brilliant that car.
Do you guys actually notice any difference in terms of power and mileage running on 95?
I run on 97/98 without question...but maybe as it is a modern engine it does actually not do any difference.
I actually remember reading EVO or maybe watching Top Gear and they actually run that test using 3 different cars. I believe the results were mitigated.

Only used Vpower. Never used 95 so can't compare, but manufacturers like Porsche recommend the higher-grade stuff so surely must be some benefit. My Subaru ran s
t when i went to Cornwall for a week and could only buy/find the lower-grade stuff.
Ok I'll get topped up again. But u recon that mpg par for the course?? Brands track evening on the 2nd of may. Gonna b single figures then!

I use whichever pump is closer, so most of the time I'm running budget juice. All the Porsches I've had from 1980 vintage to 2012 have used the same without apparent ill-effect and on the odd occasion that I have been aware of running the posh stuff I haven't noticed a marked improvement in performance.I run on 97/98 without question...but maybe as it is a modern engine it does actually not do any difference.

Really? I find that surprising.I find a noticeable drop in performance when not using 99 ron.
Not as much as on the turbo cars I have had, but noticeable all the same.

That surprises me. And don't call me Ron [/Airplane]
Imagine how much faster it'd be if you ran your 991 on proper fuel Manks. it'd be like going from them "counter-intuitive" buttons - designed for ladies with petite hands, to the razor-sharp, lightning quick, paddle type gearchange system of the true driving GodGassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
