I will be around Fulham Broadway for a night out with friends in just over a week and they have asked me to sort out where to eat. The only place I have been down there is the Blue Elephant Thai but that was a few years ago. Which places are the ones to go and which to avoid in that area? budget and food style not an issue.

The Blue Elephant has moved to just near Chelsea Harbour. I haven't been to the new location, but if the food is anything like it was at Fulham Broadway I wouldn't bother.

Sophie's Steakhouse further along the Fulham Road into Chelsea gets my vote (although unfortunately you can't book), or Chutney Mary on the King's Road.

Fulham's a funny old place where it's possible to pay an extortionate amount of money for a very average meal.

Sophie's and Chutney Mary are the only restaurants I'd recommend in the area. For pub food, The Atlas on Seagrave Road, or The White Horse just by Parson's Green tube.

The Harwood Arms is the best place , but you'll struggle to get a table.

The sloaney pony (white horse) has good beers on tap but isnt the food mostly burger and chips?

There is a decent italian at Parsons Green called Nuovi Sappori - standard stuff but the staff are nice.

I live near there.
The Sands End pub is very nice, as is the Harwood Arms.
Mao Tai is good.
Also, behind the M&S are a few good options including a nice wine bar which does tastings and basic charcuterie plates.
