Storage ????

I have acquired a bit of kit over the last 18 month and it's is all currently sitting on top of a chest of draws. As I keep noticing it getting a little dusty I'm worried my lenses and other things may get dust inside them, so I'm looking for a storage solution. I'm looking for something like the pelican 1510 but I dont need that level of protection as it won't be going out of the house and will be purely for storage. So I can't warrant the price tag even though I know it will last for ever. So can anyone recommend me a similare storage solution, needs too have modifiable sections and preferable be hard case style so it dosn't get a horrible dusty layer in the fabric. I oppologise for the lengthy sentences a failed english any help would be great?
P.s. price tags under £100 but preferably as low as possible.

I keep my lenses etc in a spare wardrobe. Works fine!

All draw and available space are at breaking point as it is. Thats why I need a box for the top. Thanks for the sensible advice though

I got some plastic storage boxes from tesco with lids.

I do what Simpo suggested, another option would be some full size camera rucksacks, but that would cost as much as a Pelican case, or more depending on how much gear you have.

A cheaper option, and one I use for all my old computer gear, is some Really Useful Boxes,

They come in all sizes, are air-tight, and you could just get some foam to fit and cut as necessary.

Eta, they're not air-tight like my lunchbox is (just checked), but as good as, and no dust gets in. Some of mine haven't been opened for years until tonight

I store my kit in FStop Gear ICUs, it's the removable inner part of their rucksacks, then I can just put the whole lot into which ever rucksack I'm going to be using that day.

My kit tends to live in the camera backpack ready to go (2 bodies, 4 lenses, couple of flashes, filters, flash gels etc)

However if I needed to pack it away, I'd probably get a tool chest and plonk it on the chest of drawers. You'll have at least one deep drawer for the lenses and bodies, plus shallow drawers for odds and sods. Plus it would look well macho

Mine's all sat in a big bag that I picked up from Calumet. It has dividers in for 2 camera bodies at each end, and around 8 lenses in the middle

I take out what I need from that and put them in a Lowepro rucksack, normally a body+lens combo and a spare lens or flash

I have a rucksack thats big enough to hold all my gear (1x body, 1x big tele lens and 3x other lens, 1 x flash + filters memory cards etc) for when i want take all my gear with me.

The rest of the time its used to store the kit i dont need and i take a smaller camera bag with the kit i do need works great for me.
