996tt Geometry Advice needed
Discussion
Morning chaps,
Following on from my recent thread about my rear tyres being fubarred after only 7k miles, I'm looking at getting some adjustments made to the rear camber angles. They wore really badly on the inside edges so I'm looking for some advice on what settings to try to prolong the life of the new tyres.
I'm not currently doing any track days and as my daily driver, it spends most of it's time in town with a few weekend blasts when time permits.
Cheers.

Hi,
The standard setup which is -1*25' camber and +10' per wheel toe in is ideal for everyday driving and stability. What was the car set to before ?
If seriously paranoid then I would set rear camber at -1*00 and toe at +7' per wheel. This will give good tyre service life but reduce rear end grip and stability even on road driving when pushed.

I'm trying to find a good balance between tyre life and not compromising handling if that makes sense. Not sure what the settings are now, they could be well off the mark as it stands.
We'll see what the figures look like on Sunday and hopefully get some adjustments done.
