Hi All,

Does this nice looking beast belong to anybody here, or anybody know anything about it?

It ticks many of my boxes, but it's a long way to go and view.

Sorry can't get the hyperlink to work....

Cheers, SPC.

It was fine until the open-door shot...

Seriously, when I was looking at buying mine this is what I would have thought if I saw this:

Not happy with the interior colour at all
Bodywork (in the fastest colour!), in the photos, looks stunning. In the flesh of course it could be quite different as i found
Lots of good, recent work done
At that mileage, more may need doing however
At that age, mileage and interior colour, I would have thought it was quite overpriced (Dealer price with consumer protection is £21535 on my calculator).
If everything else, including the mandator pre-purchase inspection, stacked up, I would offer £18000, which is above what the trade would buy it for (and only IF I could live with that interior...which I couldn't!).

Good luck!

I really like that interior. Goes really well with the blue exterior (I've not really liked that colour in the past, but I think that combo works really well)

Sorry, I don't know the car, (but I could pick holes in the advert until the cows came home!)

I'd want to know what has been done to achieve 480bhp i.e. what's been done, and by whom (e.g. if there's a receipt from DMS, I'd be quite happy), and I'd also like to know what the "NEW 4 TYRES BEST QUALITY" are.

It, on the face of it, looks a good car for the money. All the usual 'bits' have been done. My lapis one was a sod to polish and the interior is not for me, but apart from that go for it. They are wonderful driving machines

I think its a cracking car - personally the colour, inside and out, is great. Savannah is a bit light but tan is fine. I had a couple of emails from the vendor last time it was up for sale (24K) and he seemed a decent bloke.
There is another very similar car in the classifieds which is worth a look if you like this one (no its not mine, more's the pity)

I was wondering what the reverse park censor does?

Does it stop you appearing on the Bad Parking Thread. Instead of just bleeping it just shout "Oi - you can't park there mate"??

Tha't the first colour combo I've seen that the natural leather looks "ok" in. The black wheel is wrong IMO, it too needs to be in natural leather.

Looks like a decent mechanical buy for around £18k.

That said, the colour/trim combo is a big turn off for me. Not wishing to offend anyone who likes the combo, or has similar, but its very much "of its time" if you know what I mean.

That said, most of the time you will be going too fast for anyone to notice!!

The interior looks like an elastoplast.

How difficult would it be to change the interior on one of these puke coloured turbos? I'm guessing most of the trim like the carpets could be swapped from a carrera? The 996 dash is the same as a boxster of similar age no?.

You'd have thought whoever bought it new would have ticked the box for full leather interior, then the wheel and vents would also have been tan. Looks much better then.

Are you sure about that? When you optioned trim colours such as Savanna or Nephrite the wheel came in that colour too. The only option was the IXPA steering wheel which was full leather. Full leather does look fantastic regardless of colour.

I would imagine "full leather" was an option but oddly was quite "full" and you then had to tick (at even greater cost)the extra leather box too.

this one has the wheel and the dash vents and all the door trim in the same colour too.

Can someone confirm colours for me. I thought these cars were tan but I have heard them called cinnamon and that savannah is tan? Or is tan not actually a colour option.

It's not officially referred to as tan - brochure states "Natural Brown", and is on the Special Leather options list along with Cinnamon (which is more orangey than the tan/Natural Brown)

Savanna is a standard leather colour.

That's a bit better but still an acquired taste.

Thanks.
I drove one that was advertised as terracota. You couldn't quite tell in the pics, some showed a very orange interior others quite a nice brown.
Boy was it orange in person so possibly Cinnamon.
