17 years driving and not so much as a parking ticket. No speeding convictions, no points, never even been pulled over.
Then yesterday like a complete funking numpty pillock I do a right turn out of a T junction. 30 seconds later I'm assailed by blue's and two's and informed by the very polite copper that that junction is no right turn!
I was so concentrating on not running over grannies, toddlers & truant playing kids I just didn't see the signs - fu*kwit.
Still he only gave me a fixed penalty and no points for a 'Moving Traffic Violation'.
I'm so bloody angry with myself!

Its much easier to pick on motorists than it is to get murderers, truant kids or illegal immigrants... Plus the paper work is less....

In Cambridge there is a road going round to the central car park (lion yard for those in Cambridge). Waiting in busy traffic at the junction and it is fairly common to have cars to pull out onto the other side of the road and drive down to the junction - then use the said junction ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD to pass all of the traffic - some even then push back into the queue later - w@nkers.

One time Plod was at the end of the road - stopped each driver doing it and let them go. So, let me get this right - it is acceptible to drive on the wrong side of the road, use a junction on the wrong side of the road and Plod wont do anything? Seems that there is a problem here.

What I failed to mention is that there is traffic coming the other way - which leads to a nightmare traffic problem..... Yet they give mark a FPN for taking a wrong way turn...??? doesnt make sense....

Cheers,

Paul

Damn annoying that, but is it illegal to drive on the wrong side of the road?

Bugger that for a bag of soldiers. I pay my road tax so I can drive on all the road. If I'm to be restricted to half of it then I'm just going to pay half the tax!

I think just turning out the wron way was a bit harsh to get a FPN – was he short of his quota?

What have you been doing for 17 years tho – driving like a numptie?

Mike, Guess I've just been lucky mate! Spent many of those years doing 100k or so in lorries and short circuit racing (not sure you can get an FPN there though!).
Looking back over 17 years I am somewhat surprised I have gotten this far. Have to say though glad it was for the right turn and not what I managed to do on a quiet M'way on the way home Friday night
BTW is 17 years clean a record for PistonHeaders?

My record is 8 months!!! Not bad considering my nickname became "Psycho Batch" when I passed my driving test!
