Bridge camera + filters...

I have a Fujifilm S2560 bridge camera and I'm interested in using a polarising filter with it to improve landscape shots - I've found this adaptor for sale at Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kiwifotos-Adapter-Fujifilm... which fits on the lens to allow a filter to be screwed on (obviously, being a bridge camera, the lens does not have this as standard)

Has anyone used such a thing (I know it's all a bit amateur but I'm new to photography and didn't have the cash spare to buy a better camera )

You don't even need a holder to have a go. My dad came on a photographic trip last weekend with me to the lake district and brought his new X10. He was using my Lee filters just handheld up against the lens, a 105mm polariser, ND grads etc.
