Does your owners club have a speed championship?

Hi,
having sold my Midget hillclimb/sprint/rally car I'm thinking of the replacement. Lots of clubs run a speed championship (hillclimbs and sprints) and I really enjoyed the MG one. I don't have any particular loyalty to any manufacturer though my wallet is more MG than Ferrari. If I can find a championsip I fancy (there are lots of factors here) then I can buy a car to suit. However, many of the championships are not particularly well publicised to non-members and I can't consider them if I don't know they exist!

The TVR Car Club have one and after watching them at Croft and Haerwood, it looks a hoot....

I have competed in the Aston Martin Owners Club speed series in the past - in an Alfa 1600 GT Junior rather than an Aston - nice club, very welcoming, they go to some nice venues (Goodwood, Wiscombe, etc) and you get to run up the hill behind some spectacular machinery. The only downside is you're unlikely to be running against close competition as you get put in a catch-all class.
After the AMOC I went on to run a Mazda MX-5 in the HSA championship as they had a specific class for MX-5s (which I managed to win in 2007) and this is now a very competitive class.
I have a 944 now and the Porsche Club GB have a very established speed series.

TVR was one of the ones I was thinking about, I even found a Tasmin for sale.
Djone - are you in the 944 2.5 only class? I've been thinking about this championship but I get very mixed messages from the site - I can't work out how much modifications the differnt classes allow. Also I;ve emailed them twice and not got a reply, despite the fact that I pointed out that I already own and occasionally compete in a Boxster. Maybe you could pm me with your appraisal? I had a 944 in the past and would love another but I'd really like a car I can do the odd classic rally in, which means built before '82 which would rule out all but LHD 944s. Is there a class that would suit a midly modified normally aspirated 924?
