that looks like a lovely car and really good value... or am I missing something?

Ok, it is a cab so not as desirable as a coupe.

But:
- has a very nice colour.
- looks well looked after.
- has factory warranty.
- is manual.
- and has a reasonably low mileage.
+1 re 996 c4s and 6t are ok as cabs.
The comment re 997t is wrong, 996 turbo s is a slightly different proposition. Look at the prod numbers as a starting point.
Looks wise, i much prefer 996t s too.

I don't agree with the Cab comments, sure i think old 911's look slightly better in the Coupe form but i think the C4S and 6T still look pretty in cab format especially with the hood down, looks lovely IMO.

Interesting how no one has noticed this example only does 175mph... Proper Turbo S Cabs are a bit quicker afterall this car was once described as the most powerful hair dryer in the world!
Don't pay any attention to the "Pistonheads Essentials" statistics - it was a poorly developed feature that was added to the classifieds long before it was properly developed/tested. (I think there are few threads on that subject already - we were getting a spate of 4 litre 996's for sale...
)Back to the car, I've nothing against cabs in general, but I've never liked the roofline/rear of the 996 cabs.

PS- Turbo S & Turbo S Cabs are definetly worth the premium over std...
Good to read a pragmatic, unbiased viewpoint. Oh, hold on a sec . . . . . .PS- Turbo S & Turbo S Cabs are definetly worth the premium over std...

The 'problem' with PH is that:
If you own one, your opinion is worthless (becasue you're biased).
If you don't own one, your opinion is worthless (because you don't know what you are talking about).

Happy driving this pm if you are lucky enough to be in something you enjoy, whether a transit van or a Veyron.
Enjoy.

if we went by that rule, there would not be much chatter on this forum...
The car caught my eye and I thought was pretty. Peeps tend to go on about gt2/3 around here and some 'sideline' models tend to be ignored. I think the 's' is quite special. Appreciate that many will disagree.
