I'm wondering if the PH collective may be able to help.

I have booked a holiday in Cyprus from 19th to 30th August (dates are slightly flexible) and am now looking for flights to get there and back.

After trawling the various flight sites, it would appear that the only airline flying direct on those days is Easyjet.

The cost per person for getting there is £98 but the return is coming up at £212!! (2 adults and a child of 14)

Firstly, any ideas why? (just being inquisitive really) and secondly, does anyone know of a cheaper alternative or have insider knowledge that may help.

I'm not asking you to research prices for me, I can do that, more asking if there's anyone 'in the know'

TIA smile

I suspect the returns are expensive because its getting near to the end of the school holidays?

I'd agree with you on that one. How easy is it to stow a young lad away in an aeroplane? wink

If you fly back on the Weds instead of Thurs you can go with Thomson and bring the price down to £164/adult

Feeling more like staying in the UK or hiring 3 jetskis to travel there.

£50 each for a set of golf clubs PLUS normal baggage at £32 each.

It's 8 years since I had a holiday, I had no idea I was so out of touch with prices frown

I fly this route 6/7 times a year.the problem with easyjet return flights are the flight times coming back.....they get in quite late which often makes them unsuitable for people with young children.

I recommend you pre-book your golf times for even more discount as it will be really hot back end of August so good discounts are often available.

Thanks pomp, the flight times aren't a problem, just the cost!

We've a friend that looks after Aphrodite Hills Golf Course, so booking isn't required smile (he said it's very hot as well)
