Afternoon all

I am thinking of getting some new wheels for my car (997.1 C2S) and I was looking for some advice really.

At the moment I have the 'lobster claw' type wheels and they look good (from afar) but I am looking to change them for something else as they all need refurbishment.

The thing is though, I have no idea which wheels to go for. Stick with Porsche or go for something else?

Has anyone here changed their wheels and if so, what did you go for and why?

Also, if you have any pics of a 997 with different wheels, could you post them up to give me an idea please?

Thanks all thumbup

Give Chris a ring at Exel Wheels and he'll return your original
wheels better than new, and a lot cheaper than new wheels.

Yep, refurb. Pristine are excellent, used them many times including splits and E46 M3 wheels, which are a pain. Could always pick a different colour.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread - but I did create it so thats fine in my book wink

Anyway, the search for wheels continues and I really like the look of these wheels

http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod674/19--Style-10...

Design911 tell me that the only size that will fit under the rear arch of my 997.1 C2S are the 12 inch versions (the fronts at 8.5 will be fine) Current offsets for my wheels are as follows:
F: 8J x 19 ET 57
R: 11J x 19 ET 67

They are suggesting the following would be ok

F: 8.5J X 19 ET53
R: 12J X 19 ET51

Would 11J X 19 ET45 stick out too much? They say they would

I know the questions above have been answered by them already but I am asking again here to gather second opinions
as I am sure someone somewhere must have been though this already.

I found this pic of a Carrera S with these wheels on - long shot but does anyone know who's it is and what size they are?

Kind regards
Kul

I'd say they are 19" 997 GT3 wheels, IMO they don't look good on a standard Carrera, bit wannabe?

Interestingly that car also has half a body kit on it which may upset the balance at speed - seems to have the front but not the rear of the Aero Kit.
