I need to replace the discs and pads on the front of my 1990 964 tiptronic carrera 2 and am planning to do the rears too as they are due soon also.

What is the general consensus on makes to use? Im looking at Pagid, Brembo, Mintex and EBC. Ive read Pagid are the original Porsche option, is there any truth in that and if so are they better than the others Ive been looking at? I was looking at around £400-500 all in.

Im not looking to take it on the track it is purely for Sunday drives.

Any help appreciated!

Sebro and textar seem to be a good pair. I know many indies use these. Not heard good things about EBC. I know alot of folks who use carbotechs for track use and are very happy with them.

Thanks for the advice, think I'll go for the Pagid set. All the best! Dave.

At least 2 Porsche specialists I know now refuse to fit the latest type of price-driven Pagid disc/pads sets sold by Euro Car Parts as they are poor quality (discs have warped easily).

I used Sebro discs when racing a 964 and they were fine, fronts about £90/pair. Zimmerman were ok too. I used Pagid RS pads but these are quite dear and more than you need for road use - for standard perhaps try Textar. I bought genuine Porsche pads once and they were Textar but in a Porsche box.

If you order from www.eurocarparts.com use discount code MARCH25 for 25% discount.

What's the consensus on Pagid discs for the 964? Seem to be very good price on euro car parts, especially with 25% off voucher (cheers Goose thumbup) Fair saving over the Sebro discs...
