V10 is the most efficeint engine .

By that Im not talking about MPG but about getting the most BHP for the effort put in.

V12s are just nice and smooth so more suitable for tourers and presidential limos etc.

Yep! Probably even the ship and aircraft engines the Japs make (if they do...) are 276bhp!

There's a legal restriction in Japan, cars arent allowed more than 276bhp.

Nope, its a gentlemans agreement between manufacturers to not publish figures over 276bhp.

Many Jap cars can and do have plenty more than 276bhp, its just not on the sales litrature.

There has been rumor of a relaxation of this gents agreement.Recent changes in import laws will only allow us to get hold of factory spec over here tho.

Honda made V12 F1 in the 60s. And yes: time for a Jap with a v8/10/12 and over 300hp. They do make beautifull engines so I'll wait . . .
