996 outer door window strip scraper removal help?

Hi can anyone tell me how to rmove the out door window scraper/seal I think thats what they are called the rubber trim that stops the rain going into the door off the glass? Mine has bumps along it where it has been taken off in the past and I want to source another and fit it. My guess is that they just pull off from one end but useful to know for sure

They clip onto the door skin using a u shaped profile that grips the inside and outside of the panel, put the window down and push the seal into the car. I think the door mirror has to come off as well - unclip inner trim at bottom edge hinge it out slightly from the bottom and push it up (the trim slides up out of a guide at the top of the seal). Three screws hold the mirror onto the door; but don't forget the connector.......

I've replaced one side and am about to do the other. The seal around the edge of the door is held in by plastic clips that you can squeeze from inside the door to compress the barbs and push back out the hole. The top part I found almost impossible to remove without bending it beyond repair.
