Wow what a car after a very spirited drive I'm still astounded at how well this car performs.
Can honestly say this has to be one of AMG's finest. Has perfect balance and poise and would be suited for any long journey in perfect comfort whilst delivering thunderous acceleration when needed. The kick in the back is reminiscent of the 63AMG and the sound is addictive! Tunnel runs are mandatory of any AMG variant and this is no exception.
I think the new engine has fantastic flexability and with the clever cylinder shut off system, it has incredible returns of MPG too. Petrol gauge hardly moves compared to other AMG variants.
Can't wait to pick ours up from the factory next month now.

Friend of mine took one out last week and had the same reaction, which colour combo did you go for?

The colour was probably the hardest decision to make in terms of configurating the car.
We decided to go for Black exterior complimented with red leather interior.

Wanted something bit different. So got Indium Silver, with Sahara interior and carbon fibre trim.

I think the Sahara interior looks good on any colour. Guess we'll post some pics next month then.

Saw the red one at MB World yesterday. Looks like a real beast. Like the way it differentiates itself from the Boxster now by being a mini GT. Would seriously consider one of these once they are past the initial depreciation pain, would have to be the dark grey with the performace pack & airscarf

here's an alternative from your usual porsche choices. I had a 2005 slk 350 manual... sold it to a colleague and a car I still miss.
