Hi I have a 94 993 tip just undergone a body make over to get rid of a small scab on corner of windscreen and bumper scuffs, also repaint a bad repair on wing so looks really nice its high milage 133k engine has just had a full service new leads dizzys spark plugs cam gaskets etc etc, brake overhaul 6000 mile ago. it has 10 owners, my insurance company have had pictures etc but dispute the 15k value ive put on it due to high miles and owners. Its a classic car policy with limited miles 5000 per year, I felt the value i gave was conservative am I being nieve ? I carnt see any advertised for less than 15k

Im surprised they took your valuation at all, get an indipendant one done. If your a PCGB member they will do one for free other wise you will have to pay a 3rd party specialist. Think it costs about 50. At least then the insurers will be more confident about the stated value. Mind you the valuation of the car has no bearing on anything unless they are guaranteeing the value. If their not they will only pay bottom book market value.
