I am not in the market for one but what do people think about this 964 tt ? Also is there a big difference between the 3.3 and the 3.6 version ?

If it checks and looks as good as on the pictures, it's a gorgeous car!

Color is stunning and the 3.6 wheels are superbe. I wouldn't consider any 3.3 without.

Ok this is all interesting but what do people think of the 3.3 version compared to the 3.6 version?

Very nice considering they are half the price.

Lovely cars i've owned a low mile 3.3 964 and a low mile 930 5 speed, the latter been more raw and similar performance
Aesthetically they are great, but both cars are not brilliant to drive IMO, heavy and on off power, not good on twisties but great in straight lines

but was it a bargin? you have to think 80k for car that was made for the middle east (not a uk car)
i offered 70k but wan not enough, would have paid 80k if it was a uk car, bought the next best thing, SV

3.3 was rated at 320bhp, 3.6 at 360bhp and about 50ft lb of torque more. In standard car terms the boost comes in at around a 1000rpm lower on the 3.6. In a 3.3 it gets going at 4000rpm a 3.6 at 3000rpm, or there or there abouts. The 3.6 feels the smoother drive. Less likely to make the missus feel sick. As for tuning the 3.3 is the one to go for. The 3.6 from memory is only good for around 450bhp max. I can't remember exactly why this is so but many moons ago I had a chat with FVD who know there stuff.

Thank you all for the comments, they are very useful. Although I am not in the market for one at the moment the one that is currently advertised looks gorgeous. If money and more importantly space was not an issue...
I am not sure what is wrong with me, in terms of ownership I started with a 997 C4S then a 996 tt then a 993 tt (that I now own) and then I now like this 964 turbo (although I have not seen it).
