Got an invite for the new boxster launch. I never attend these things. Is it worth attending & what happens at them?
Isnt it better just to wander in the following day when less people are around, or will I be missing some freebies/etc.

Free alcohol and drunk women + lots of people walking around pretending they own Porsches lol. On a serious note normally very good and meet some decent like minded owners..Most of us received a free metal model at the 991 launch.

Don't take your wallet, or a pen (IOUs are still legal)!

Yes, when I went into my OPC and they said they were going to send an invite they also said they could give me a P/ex figure for my current BOx... which I had bought off them 5 months ago. No one is safe... just glad I negotiated hard using the upcoming launch as a lever.

People who have been in the showroom in the past and left details, time wasters for example!

I vaguely recall an endless supply of quite nice champagne at the 991 launch. And a great many very odd people (I am entirely normal myself of course).

It'll deffo be a worth a ganders. Being the 'Boxster' event, it's almost guaranteed to be wall-to-wall flange. Just be wary of the boys with scarves tucked into their t-shirts smile

There will probably be quite a lot of thumb rings, won't there.
