Not bad, although any half decent guitarist should be able to knock The Rain Song out by ear in a few minutes.

Saw Zeppelin at Earls Court in '75 and both Knebworth's in '79, plus Page and Plant solo several times since.

I first heard Led Zep in 1973, at the age of 14. I thought they were awesome, the greatest rock band the world had ever seen. Nothing in the last 40-odd years has done anything to dissuade me from that opinion.

Last year I finally managed to learn to play Over The Hills and Far Away properly. I suspect that Mrs Gaspode finds the sight of a porky 50-something swaggering round the living room trying to pretend he's Jimmy Page more than somewhat risible, but I don't care

Over the hills and far way is on of those ings I seem to play most days... Just a little ... Love zep, black dog was the first proper riff I ever worked out. So many standout songs......

I discovered Led Zeppelin in October 1980 when I was 13. It was just after JB died.

My favourite band of all time. The sheer confidence and swagger in songs like The Ocean, Over the Hills and Far Away, What is and What Should Never Be, Dancing Days and The Rover is mindblowing.

Here was a group that, pretty much, covered most musical genres:

All from a four-piece outfit, and at this point a post to a 'tube link that (for me) one of their best live performances:

They are indeed a band who will never again be equalled. Although some of their tunes are not quite my thing, there is no denying what an amazing band they were. I often sit down for a good listen of the early stuff and you simply loose yourself in the rhythm section alone

As for my favourite song, it has to be Achilles Last Stand, which also has an awesome guitar solo.

I've recently started to get into 'Zep and it really is amazing to listen to them. It's funny, some of their tunes don't sound "old".

I'm not too sure about some of the more show-off fretboard w@nking, mind.

I would have put that as an example of blues rather than Kiteless' choice. One of my favourite Zep tracks. (Since I've been loving you)
