I am in London this weekend with my wife who is on a course during the day time. Looking for some decent things to do while she is doing the course and I am not being dragged into shops which makes a change!

Was thinking Natural History museum and aquarium then a proper London pub to sit and read my book and watch the world go by. I wondered if there are any proper PH type places to visit such as car museums etc. I have two days to kill so hoping for any suggestions of things not to miss. I’ve done all the usual sights and just want to see something a bit different and some good proper London pub recommendations would be appreciated.

Best shop window in central London is at top of Park Lane.

Not sure if it fits the "usual tourist" category but the Churchill War rooms are worth a look.

This is right in the heart of Covent Garden so you can combine it with some quality lunch, if the weathers fine site outside and watch the spectacle that is people who visit covent garden

Use the river service (I'd suggest starting from at least Westminster if not further West) and head East Towards Greenwich. You could then take a stroll up the hill to the Observatory.
