The loacting position is the limiting factor.
If you haven't got your swirl tank sorted out yet why not look into having one custom made wuth the expansion tank piggy-backed onto it?
This one's in alloy but you get the idea.

Two shiney tanks sitting side by side on the cross member might look quite cool. It's what I'd do if I was doing the job again.

Ive gone down the ACT Nut'ed Swirl route, as mentioned when we spoke, the standard looked really
so we sent it backlooks much better.
Was going to thank Norman but see post has now been adjusted.

Joe, your costing me fortune with this line above ! Manifolds 
Im thinking a lot of elbow grease and it will be good as new with new cap and pipe.
Lets see how it turns out or if there are any other ideas.
