Camping on the Thames

I need to have a little more boy time with my 8 year old away from those pesky girls. On the weekends that he stays I can set the younger girls up for some "pink" things with the missus whilst we scoot out for a bit of boys only stuff (considered strippers, coke and gambling but he can't hold his drink!).

One of the idea's is camping on a Saturday night on the Thames. We would set off from Caversham late afternoon and canoe for a few miles with a disposable Barbie on board, hitch up somewhere, sausage sarnies for supper and a night under canvas.

Does anyone know of a camp site @ 2-3 miles from Caversham, on the Thames.
