Now the proud owner of a 96 Cooper 1.3i, with a few mods to the engine and body, now running on 10in GBs with Mk1 grill and rear light conversion, buckets, cage etc, all done by the previous owner.

I now have 2 Minis, the Cooper for hooning around Bedfordshire, and a restored Mini Pickup at my parents in North Devon - so the best of both worlds.

I am no mechanical expert, but want to have a tinker with this one, so you may get a few questions!

Does anyone know where I can get a Mk1 bootlid? Standard bootlid looks a little out of place with the light conversion. Contacts for bodywork would be useful too, as there is a bit of rust on the front wings/panel, and the rear light conversion is not A1, I would like to respray the whole car, if funds allow!.
Cheers
Nigel.

I have a MK1 boot lid that I might part with for a few beer tokens

Thanks for the replies, I knew someone would eventually reply to my requests!

Have seen Chris's name pop up before, I will try and search his number, as Hitchin is only 10mins away from me.

Paul - Interested in the bootlid, let me know how many beer tokens will secure it! I have got my brother hunting one out in Devon this weekend (he has 3 Mk2 bootlids but wont sell one to me!!!).

Car sounds a bit noisy on the tappets (not sure if it should be a bit noisier due to roller rockers), and the electric fan on the inner wing is not attached, so lots to do!!

Cheers guys!
Nigel.
