http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/cl...

can't easily get the becker grand prix anymore and basically hate everything else i look at for an air cooled dash

any one got one? buttons look very small....

or any other decent music solutions that work in a 911 dash. need i-pod and radio really

cheers

I bought one for my 993. Apart from the looks the unit is very average. The radio needs an antenna booster to receiver properly but then it is ok. The bluetooth works ok with phone and i-pod streaming. The navigation is crap. It is not worth the money - but as there is very little out there that fits onto the dashboard without spoiling the look i decided against all these shortcoming and bought it anyway.

I've read elsewhere that you need to fit a spacer for the front to be able to flip down and because of this the unit protrudes from the dash. Is this correct?

ooh, that's nice. I too like the basic look. Do you have a pic of what it looks like in the dash?

I'd suggest it's a Toronto 410BT.

Yes well spotted there on the model.

Here's a picture in my 968, not a brilliant one but I think it does show it fits in quite neatly.

I've fitted one to my 993. No complaints, no spacer necessary, Bluetooth etc works well. Sat nav screen is a little small but otherwise it's easy to use. Sound quality is excellent. Audio prioritising seems to work well too (phone/satnav/media).
I'd recommend it.

Bizarre I've read a few threads where you have to fit an 8mm spacer to the 993 for it to open with the Porsche sat nav.
Obviously you don't need to then?
I'd recommend it.
