On Wednesday I was on the North York Moors when we got a low pass from what looked like an F14. It had no markings that I could see and was dark grey. Given that apart from the Iranians no one is flying them was it a) Early recce flight by Iranian airforce prior to strike on Fylingdales? or b) something else? Mig29?

We get F15s over quite often up here, occasional F16s and a lot of Eurofighters, plus the occasional Hawk.

He's doing some crazy holographic thing if so, they usually come in pairs.

as suggested more likely to vbe an F15 as the F14 has been retired in favour of the super hornet iirc .
