How do I remove balance weight adhesive
Discussion
Just got my summer tyres mounted onto some new wheels (Boxster III in 17") and the fitter left the old black adhesive rubber tape on the rims.
I can slowly pick some of it off with just a thumbnail, but some is quite resilient. I have tried iso-propanol with no effect. Any suggestions?

Buying AS Tardis just because you need 2ml of it sounds bizarre when nail polisher remover is usually available in most households...
Nail polish remover (acetone based) is great for dissolving hardened resins and varnish. Tardis (xylene based) is much better for removing rubber and un-set glue because rather than dissolving it, it makes the glue/rubber mobile so you can peel it off. Make sure you use it in a well ventililated area though.boxsey said:
