Apparently Engelbert Humperdinck (aged 76) has been chosen to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Is this a good thing or a WTF thing?

That'll teach those Eurotypes to give us null points, this should get our own back on 'em! - hope Engelbert goes on in pubsinger crooning mode..

Great idea. Engelebert is a fabulous singer.

Might as well try something different, although with the usual "political" voting he won't stand a chance.

Usually wouldn't be bothered, but Englebert is from Leicester, so that'll do for me. Surely if we really want to give everyone else a real struggle cuddling, we'd just get Led Zep or The Who to blow them away (not that either of them would do something like Eurovision, FFS Ireland have entered Jedward, again!)

It is a joke and we may as well take the p*ss out of the daft competition.

So, Cliff's turn next year. Wheel out Des O'Connor in 2014. Status Quo in 2015, and on and on....

Well I've never forgiven him for keeping Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane off No.1 in 1967. Git.
