My brother just phoned me as a friend of his is looking to buy a Cheap reliable runabout.. she wants to spend up to £400, so classically were in oldish Fiesta land etc etc cos it needs to be reasonably economic and cheap to insure..

..anyone got one they're getting rid of somewhere near Leamington Spa?

The reason I'm posting is if he goes out to find one, he'll get something sh!te from somewhere thats probably 2 cars welded together...

Any help much appreciated..
Cheers
Matt.

Matt,

I've been tasked with getting rid of my Father in Law's 1983 Escort 3 door as he's given up driving at last.

One owner from new,
Garaged every night,
Low mileage,
Service History,
Rear seat belts,
Dirty,
Frilly wheel arches,
No MOT as its been in his garage for the past god knows how many months.

Very cheap. Oh and its beige

My 1990 escort 1.4 is up for sale, picture in my profile. Mileage is a tad high at 140,000 though.

Well, there should be a picture, but it keeps coming up with a little red cross where the picture should be!
damn you fotango!

The arches have a bit of rust and have been patched up - poorly but not rusted out.

It had an MOT when he last used it, but since he stopped using it the car has just sat in his garage. There is no known reason for it to fail - but it has been sitting so who knows.

I need to go and have a look at it next week and see whats what.

Cheers,
JSG
