Anyone know whats going on at the old Focus building on Reading road? Seems to be lots of building work going on there, but I'm sure it just said 'available for lease' or similar. Unless they are taking a flier hoping to get it leased once it's all tarted up. Would be nice if it's a specialist sports car repair centre, but I guess that's not likely...more likely a lock and store type place or carpet shop... frown

Popped into Halfrauds the other day for some number plate adhesive pads.... wondered a similar thing...

What ever they're doing, they're taking ages to do so.

A Range has opened up in the old Focus building in Aldershot and a Matalan is opening in the old Focus building in Frimley, maybe you will get one of the two in Winnersh?

Travis Perkins have applied for planning permission for signs at 1 Gazelle Close - is that the right address?

TP own a few brands like Wickes etc too

ETA Wickes are recruiting for Winnersh - I don't think they have a store currently?

Wickes would be handy I suppose as their prices and stock are better than Focus used to be. TBH I only used Focus if it was a rush job and often my OH would go down to save me getting cleaned up from whatever DIY I was doing. Most times though she'd end up going to B&Q/Wickes anyway as Focus wouldn't have what we needed.

Focus was always a bit rubbish but often saved me from having to trek over to B&Q when I was in a rush for something.. This seems to suggest April opening: http://wilkinsonwilliams.completelyretail.co.uk/in...

Will be very handy!

Edit to add - looks like they're only taking about 3/4 of the space with the rest still available.

I knew I could depend on PH to give the answer. Maybe German and Swedish could take over the other section which would be handy for my recent Z3 purchase. smile

Maybe an airboat track would have been more appropriate. smile

+ 1 will be very handy having a DIY shed again, I often end up in B&Q Reading or Wicks Bracknell since focus closed.

Same here - Also OH is quite a Range nut so nicely sorted - Range is one of those "I never knew there was so much I couldn't live without" type places - Pretty lethal!!

Oh no, it's not like Ikea where you go in for a few small items and come out needing a mortgage is it? smile
