Get on a ferry and have it done on the mainland. OPC has a few interesting posts on other forums.

There's George McMillan, who's a former OPC Belfast man.

Heard good reviews about him

I wasn't going to take it to the OPC, not the best reputation. I found a place called AMG on google, any body know if they're any good?

Lot of hassle to get a car serviced!

I've found the OPC in Belfast to be fine (996, 996tt and now a 997tt). They've not charged me a couple of times for computer resetting etc. I wouldn't get everything done there due to the likely cost and if its a job any mechanic can do its no problem getting an 'ordinary' garage to do it.

But for servicing I like the fact they know what to look for and the stamp is useful come resale.

I have heard good things about Mr McMillan though. What bad things have been said about the Belfast OPC?

George McMillan is the best in Northern Ireland, used him for work on the GT3. Great service and good value.

George is absolutely fantastic....one of the top porsche mechanic's in the uk. Whoever suggested jumping on a ferry to the mainland would be better jumping on a ferry themselves and coming over here to have it done.

Ditto to George. I'd happily write him a blank cheque because I know he'll do what should be done and he will do it right. Don't presume him to be a cheap alternative to OPC, but he is money well spent and such a decent guy as well.

Had a few emails back and forth with George and he seems a straight up bloke compared to a few others I have had dealings with.

Never used him but on surface seems ok.
