X-Type R

Jaguar (read Ford) in their infinate wisdom have canned the hot version of the X-Type. The engine was due to be a supercharged version of the V6. As the F-Type is on ice, it doesn't make economic sense to produce the engine for the X-Type alone.

Ford don't really seem to be that interested in making "Hot" versions of there cars. Focus has waited years for a quick version, Puma had the limited run underpowered overpriced Racing Puma, Ka (don't laugh ) has nothing, Fiesta Zetec S isn't particularly quick, Mundano only has mildly spiced versions for the more fortunate reps. Come on Ford pull your finger out. Give us a Focus Cossie to rival the Scoobys and Evos, make the F-Type that made us stop and stare open mouthed when we saw it the first time, make the X-Type R to take on an M3. Do it now!
