Chefs - where do you look for jobs?

Hi

Anyone a chef here, or work in a similar capacity or is involved in recruitment thereof? I wondered whether there are any "must" websites to use when looking for work. For example, in my line of IT, JobServe has not let me down in the past 15 years. It's always the first (and pretty much only) site I'll go to when looking for work.

Basically, I don't want to put an advert on a site that has f-all visitors/reputation/etc.

That's probably the best industry site. I've left the trade now but I used to check the local papers, there was always positions in there at local hotels and restaurants. It's also worth dropping your cv into places too, one hotel I worked at had 18 chefs in the kitchen and staff turn over was high but they never advertised.

Thanks. I'm actually coming from an employer perspective rather than employee. I'll take a look at the local paper. Also, what's the thoughts on the Job Center?
