S-Type 3.0 V6

[Toaster Pilot]

A local dealer has a 1999 3.0 V6 S-Type for sale for £2k - 75k on the clock, full service history etc. Looks in good condition based on photos.

Is there any common faults with these that have the potential to be ruinous? Anything in particular to look out for?

Check all the suspension joints and bushes carefully.

Also any noises at all, particularly on harsh acceleration (not kickdown) from the auto box, signals trouble based on my experience.
