Poster print with any quality original?

Hi,

A friend is trying to get a slightly blurry, 4 megapixel photo printed out as a poster (i don't know what size exactly)...

She just submitted it to photobox but they refused to print it (although they didnt tell her, or refund her, she had to chase them to find out) "as it is too blurry".

She knows it is blurry but wants a poster anyway...can you recommend a website that will just print it for her, regardless of perceived quality?

If its a one-off job then sounds like a local 'high street' printer might be best. You can then speak to someone face to face or phone to phone about it. Where abouts would it be if it was local out of interest?

I'm surprised Photobox did that. I'm sure they will print it (whatever the quality, if that's what she wants) if she speaks to the customer service personally.

I was surprised too - she was actually speaking to a person and they just refused...seems weird to me.

Could go to the high-street but I assumed for poster size they would be expensive...

Are they judging it by appearance or file size?

I don't know - it is only a 4 megapixel file so I thought it would be file size...but apparently the lady said blurry and seemed to mean the original photo...

Is the original just small, or also out of focus - or both?
