There has to be a market for airplane slides? Just think, instead of sitting around waiting for your flight you just pay a couple of quid to slide down the emergency exit slide of a clapped out time expired 747 laugh

Indeed, they'd make great fire escapes for buildings!

I've said this to my girlfriend before. Would happily pay a fiver to scratch that itch of curiosity (without actually risking permanent flight phobia by being in a plane crash)

I guess if it was £455 and jump on the slide. Or life in jail for smothering the fking screaming little st of a baby. His choice of £455 was a good one!

Had a screamer two rows in front of me on a flight from Gatwick a couple of weeks ago.
I though my head would fking explode!

WTF do people travel with a 2 month old screaming poo machine?

You've calved, face the fact your life is over FFS! Stay at home with the thing, and let us folks who have made the decision we don't want that in our life have some peace! mad

A small soundproof box wouldn't take up much room.

Good point, but I suspect in order to fit mickrick inside it the box would have to be slighter larger than just 'small'.

No, on second thoughts, you're right - 'small' will do fine, we'll just have to snap the miserable sod into manageable chunks and cram him in there....job done.

I was getting such a lecture from a stewardess last week about reading the card I'd read a thousand times on opening the emergency exit that I almost opened the thing there and then just to shut her up.

Glad I didn't now.

I don't like children and like mickrick I've decided never to have any. All it takes is a bit of self-control.

In the past I've been told I'm being selfish, which I've never really understood. Choosing not to add to the planet's over-population problem is being selfish? People have also told me that I'd feel differently if I had a child. What if I don't? What if I hate kids even more after having one?

In reality it's often the parents who are more annoying and troublesome than the kids. Especially when they are seemingly unable to separate their work and family lives.

I used to work on airliner maintenance and every so many years we had to set off the slide rafts. On a tall aircraft like a Tristar the slides are very steep and it's surprisingly scary jumping out...... didn't stop me going back for another go though! biggrin

The parent of the screaming child probably hates it at that moment than all of the other passengers on the plane.

Sometimes you have to travel, sometimes you have to take the kids. We share this world.

Personally i would rather have a screaming kid on a flight than a fat bloke with BO or a screaming adult scared of flying, or someone who gets violently travel sick, or a drunk girlfriend/wifeless tosser etc

I agree. Kids are evil little screaming st machines that ruin lives by just existing. I won't ever be having any either.
