Anyone know of or preferably use a really good car valet in coventry/nuneaton area? Thinking of getting my car machine polished/paint corrected. As i dont have time to maintain it i'm looking for a good valet guy to regularly clean it without introducing the dreaded swirls back into the paint ie. someone who knows how to clean cars properly. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Gareth at detail my ride comes highly recommended and has just opened a site in Berkswell just off the A45 near Balsall Common.

I'm taking my swirled and lightly scratched M3 to him this weekend on the basis of friends recommendations. Can take some pictures if you like?

Thanks for the info, i know of Gareth he is very good. Does he have a new unit near berkswell now then? previously he operated from home in solihull. I really need someone to correct the swirls in my paint but also who will regularly valet it to prevent swirls/scratches returning.

A friend used Ade at www.autoworksdetailing.co.uk for his new California & was very impressed with his results - he might be worth a call too & apparently travels all over the W.Mids smile

Yup, a brand spanking new unit. I think mine will be one of the first he does in it:

Excellent facility he has there. Be much better as he can take bookings and not be concerned by the weather. I have emailed him about correcting and wax protecting my car. Let me know how you get on with yours, are you having it detailed Babu?

I am.

I've gone for the enhancement detail rather than the full correction as the car has a rash along the leading edge of the bonnet and wings. Whilst I want the swirls and haze gone there's no point going overboard as I'm going to be getting that sorted in the summer, might go for a full correction after that.

Gareth thinks that the enhancement detail will be more than what I'm looking for, so we'll see.

Will try to get some before photos but might be pushed for time, will get some afters to post though.

I spoke to Gareth last night and I also am going for the enhancement detail i think. My S2000 has soft paint anyway and a single stage machine polish should hopefully get rid of 90% of swirls. Good luck with your detail too mate.

Picked mine up today and, in short, I'm fking delighted.

I don't have any before photos and have only taken a few quick shots this afternoon but the difference is amazing.

Really nice guys to deal with too.

I think Gareth is planning to post a thread on Detailing World to show the work on mine. Whilst the previous owner spent hand over fist on the greasy & oily bits he hadn't bothered with the shiny bits at all so the difference this detail has made is all the more surprising.

Highly recommended.

I was going to post in the week on this - my VXR8 needs doing as its a metallic black swirl city...

Whats the difference between the enhancement / full correction?

Might have a look on detailing world smile

I think the correction would involve wet sanding and really going nuts to get the finish better than when it left the factory.

The enhancement has got rid of all the swirls and allowed the true colour of the car to show through.

There's a snapshot of how bad mine was to start with up on Detailing World already, if he posts a full write up I'll post the link here.

Only suggestion I've got are the carwash folks . (IHMO, or something like that) . The bloke that had both the Nuneaton and Coventry ( foleshill one) was a friend of mine. I would suspect that he'd have looked for someone to keep up his standards. But, I now think it's furreners ,so it's only a uggestion .

Nice one Babu only just saw your pictures. The 50/50 shots on Gazs detailing world link really show the improvements. Am just trying to agree a date with Gaz for my S2000 enhancement detail. Not surprised you are very happy it looks superb.
