I've recently been having a bit of trouble with the forks on my Cube Ltd Comp. Basically, the forks will no longer lock out, and the remote thumb lever on the the bars feels as though there is something stopping it pushing all the way up into the 'lock' position.

The first time this happened it was b@stard cold when I was out riding and I though the cable could have just frozen up, but I went out again at weekend and the problem was still there. Can anyone shed any light on how the lock out system works on these, I'm assuming that the lock out operates some kind of valve within the forks? Anyone else had a similar issue....?

Cheers

Hey smile If you're running a remote lockout lever the most likely cuplrit is clag in the cable. Strip the inner cable from the outer and give it a good clean and re-lube with some thin chain lubricant. Or better still replace with a new cable kit. Next most likely place causing problems will be grime underneath the topcap on the fork. Strip clean and replace as necessary.

If you have a look on SRAM.com you will be able to download a pdf with schematics of the fork to work from.
